THE VAN DER ROHE
Design Inspiration
Modern and Simple Series
The concept originated from the Bauhaus School of Design. Bauhaus school’s design principle of “form follows function” holds every element must have a function and good design is based on function. Mies Van Der Rohe, the founder of minimalism, proposed the design concept of “less is more”, which removes excess and makes texture ubiquitous in detail through exquisite proportions, carefully crafted details and pure and complete materials.
Inspiration
Inspired by Bauhaus principles, the Van Der Rohe series embodies functional design infused with emotion and behaviour. Its minimalist aesthetic focuses on pure textures and harmonious colour palettes, creating spaces of rational simplicity. The addition of natural marble textures and skin-sensitive finishes enhances comfort and warmth, balancing modernity with a welcoming ambiance. Through meticulous attention to detail, this series redefines simplicity, blending form and function to craft environments that celebrate understated elegance and subtle sophistication.
